Fee Schedule and Financial Policies

The fees for acupuncture and/or BodyTalk treatment are as follows:

  • Initial Visit: $165.00
  • Follow-up Visit: $120.00

Please note the following financial policies:

  • You are expected to make full payment at the time of service.
  • Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you must cancel an appointment. Otherwise, you will be charged a missed appointment fee of $75.
  • Acupuncture West LLC accepts cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, and Debit Card. We do not accept insurance at this time.

Insurance Information

  • If your insurance covers acupuncture, we will provide you with a Superbill (an itemized insurance receipt) which you may submit to your insurance company and the insurance company will reimburse you directly. You are expected to make full payment at the time of service.
  • If you would like a Superbill to submit to your insurance company, please tell us at the time you make your appointment.
  • To better understand whether acupuncture is covered on your policy, we recommend that you call your insurance company (there is usually a customer service number on your insurance card) and speak directly with a customer service representative. Some important questions which you should consider asking are:
    1. Is acupuncture treatment covered on my policy?
    2. What portion of the charged amount is paid by insurance? What portion of the charged amount is paid by the patient?
    3. Is there a limit to the number of acupuncture treatments covered? How many have already been used?
    4. Is there a limit to the dollar amount paid for acupuncture treatments? How much has already been used?
    5. Does the deductible apply to acupuncture treatment?
    6. How much of the deductible has been met and what is the deductible period?
    7. Is this quote for in-network or out-of-network benefits?
    8. Are there only certain, specific diagnoses for which acupuncture is covered?
    9. Would you please provide me with a reference number for this phone conversation?
